| A UNIQUE COMMUNITY SPIRIT... |
| The Landings is an established community where people come together, not only to enjoy life but also to help others enjoy life. In addition to organizing 100-plus volunteers to see troops off and welcome them home for the last three years, Landings residents recently decided to help take care of the families of deployed 3rd ID soldiers who are taking care of America's business in Baghdad. Instead of just putting magnetic ribbons on their cars, they have taken the concept of 'supporting the troops' a step further. They have started a relief fund to help military families deal with unexpected financial difficulties. Through the 'Landings Military Family Relief Fund', over $107,000 was raised in the first two weeks of the effort. Working with the Red Cross to distribute the funds, Landings residents are expanding a soldier's safe harbor and showing their support and appreciation in a whole new way. |
|
| Over the years, Landings residents have started over 80 Clubs, some of which are listed on the website. Whether you are interested in cars, quilting, bridge, or volunteer opportunities, you'll find it here at The Landings. |
