Few golf country clubs can boast one championship course. The Landings offers six. Designed by immortals of the game, each course has earned designation as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

Each course offers a distinct layout and required style of play. But perhaps the toughest part isn't the courses, but which course to play. Choose from the Palmetto Course, the Oakridge Course, the Plantation Course, the Marshwood Course, the Magnolia Course or the Deer Creek Course.

Palmetto Course
Designer: Arthur Hills
PGA Pro:
The most challenging of the six courses at The Landings, Arthur Hills designed the longest of the courses, where deep traps and high embankments guard contoured greens. The Palmetto course requires length off the tee and a deft long iron game. Palmetto is regularly chosen as the host course for the finals of the Club championship.

Oakridge Course
Designer: Arthur Hills
PGA Pro:
Hills' second Landings course, is made for the shot maker with small elevated greens guarded by grassy hollows and sand bunkers which require expert approaches. A very natural-looking golf course with multi-tiered greens and natural mounding, Oakridge's back nine is an island delight. The 15th hole, also known as the "Cemetery Hole", features a historic gravesite of some of Skidaway Island's earliest residents.

Plantation Course
Designer: Willard Byrd

At the southern end of Skidaway Island, Willard Byrd designed The Landings third course, which has the distinction of being the only course on the island laid out in "links style", where the front nine goes out to the southwesterly tip of the island, and the back nine returns to the lovely, old country style, Plantation Club house. The 8th, 9th, and 10th holes overlook the marsh, Adams Creek, and Ossabaw Sound, and the entire course offers golfers incomparable views of surrounding marsh, lagoons, and beautiful oaks.

Marshwood Course
Designer: Arnold Palmer (with Frank Duane)
PGA Pro:
Marshwood is the original course at The Landings . Designed by Arnold Palmer and Frank Duane, it features a variety of doglegs through the pines with scenic holes beside the marsh with wonderful vistas. A challenging yet playable layout, Marshwood has a wonderful island feel that is enjoyable for all levels of players and offers incomparable views of Romerly Marsh and Wassaw Sound.

Magnolia Course
Designer: Arnold Palmer (with Ed Seay)
PGA Pro:
Magnolia, also originally designed by Palmer in collaboration with Ed Seay, and is regarded by most as a difficult test of all golfers' skills. The front nine has long been regarded as the best nine on the island. Magnolia recently underwent a spectacular renovation of tees, greens and bunkers, and has reopened to rave reviews.

Deer Creek Course
Designer: Tom Fazio
PGA Pro:
Fazio, voted "best present-day architect" by his peers, put the finishing touch on the golf course package with his design of The Landings' sixth course, Deer Creek. Sculpted mounds, grass bunkers, huge sand bunkers, easily identifiable Fazio hallmarks, combine with two-tiered fairways and elevated tees to create a course both spectacular to see and play.
Fine-tune your game. The Landings offers instructional programs, which include individual lessons featuring the latest in high-tech video equipment and teaching techniques, one- and three-day golf schools and workshops.
