Q.  What is the percentage of full time residents vs part time residents?
A. Approximately 40% of Landings residents work in the greater Savannah area, or in full or part-time consulting 
               positions.
 
Q.  How many children on the Island and what types of schools are available in Savannah?
A. There are approximately 1,000 children under the age of 19 at The Landings. Chatham County has a broad network of public schools. There are 29 sites fro Pre-K programs; Full day kindergarten programs are offered at 31 Elementary Schools, there are 11 middle schools (one is a charter school), seven high schools and nine educational centers in the district. In addition, Savannah has more than 20 private schools serving the area and is the location of two institutions that are part of the University System of Georgia. It also offers two private colleges, one internationally known art school and others specializing in business and the health professions.
 
Q.  How far are the schools from The Landings?
A.  Most public and private elementary, middle, and high schools are located within a 20 minute drive from The
Landings. Armstrong Atlantic State University is approximately 25 minutes away.
 
Q.  How far is it to access major hospitals and doctors?
A. Savannah is the location of three major medical centers and Landings residents can access state-of-the-art comprehensive and specialized care without having to leave the city. These hospitals are 20 – 25 minutes from The Landings. In addition, The Landings has its own First Responders located on the island with a compliment of trained EMT’s.
 
Q.  How hot does it get in the summer and how cold in the winter?
A. The daytime highs in June, July and August are about 90 degrees, and the average lows during the day in January and February are about 60 – 63 degrees. 
 
Q.  The Landings is so big - how will we make friends, get golf games, fit in to such an established community?
A. It’s so easy to meet people at The Landings. With over 80 social clubs and organizations, it’s simple to find and get to know people with similar interests. The New Neighbors Club and the Landlovers Clubs provide an environment for new residents to meet each other and to meet existing residents. If you are a golfer, you’ll meet other golfers and find golf groups just by going out and playing! Our golf pros can also assist you in getting games together with other residents.
 
Q.  Is there a sense of community at The Landings?
A.  Because The Landings was started a little over 30 years ago, a strong sense of community has evolved over time. Landings residents are a generous and giving group, welcoming new residents with open arms, and volunteering on the island and in the greater Savannah area. There is a sense of coming together once you get to The Landings. Between the activities offered through the club amenities and the social organizations, its hard not to experience the strong sense of community that is inherent at The Landings.
 
Q. What are the annual Association fees?
A. Landings property owner Association Annual Fees are currently $1,250 per property.
 
Q. Do you join just the club in your neighborhood and play just the golf courses in your area?
 A. There are three levels of Club Membership - Social, Tennis and Golf. A Social Membership provides privileges to the member and their families with access to The Landings four Clubhouses for dining, four pools (including the indoor pool) and our state-of-the-art fitness center. The Tennis Membership provides access to all of The Landings Tennis facilities, as well as all the amenities mentioned in the Social Membership package. Finally, the Golf Membership provides privileges to all facilities including access to all six golf courses, all dining, fitness, pool and tennis facilities.
