You are invited to stop by The Landings Company sales office during September and October to enjoy the ethereal landscapes and seascapes of Landings artist, Skye Tarr.

Like most artists, Skye’s interest in art began at an early age. However, her love and interest in art was refined at Swarthmore College. As she completed the requirement for a BA in Biology, she took the equivalent of a minor in art. A corporate career in consulting followed college and over the years, marriage, work, and eventually motherhood lead her back to oil painting.

Before her move to Savannah five years ago, Skye spent time in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Bloomington, Indiana. Her painting training consisted of mostly still lifes, but her new southern address at The Landings inspired her to explore seascapes and landscapes.

Skye is a member of the Landings Art Association and exhibits her work at the Irene Sullivan Gallery, Sweet Tea, and The Gallery in Beaufort, SC.

Enjoy the exhibit during normal business hours, seven days a week… Monday through Friday – 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday – 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

“150 Years of Architectural Elegance: The Central of Georgia Railroad’s 1856 Gray Building Headquarters”
SCAD Museum of Art, 227 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Savannah, Ga.

These exhibitions chronicle the history of SCAD’s Kiah Hall. Once the headquarters of the venerable Central of Georgia Railroad and now a college art museum, the landmark Greek Revival building epitomizes the elegance of mid-19th-century architecture. Complementing the historical overview of the building is a small photographic exhibition that documents the recently completed exterior preservation of the structure, a project made possible by a major Save America’s Treasures federal grant and additional assistance from the Charles A. Frueauff Foundation and the Frances Wood Wilson Foundation.
