The Landings Club will be offering a  Junior & Tiny Tot After-School Fall Golf Program . This golf series will teach youngsters about the game of golf through an organized and fun progression program! Tiny Tots ages 4-6 and Juniors ages 7-15 meet for golf skill and golf fitness activities that are key in developing athleticism!! Older juniors will focus more on game management and more advanced skill topics. Chef of the House Challenge: We are proud to announce that Chef Joe Martin and Chef Andy Love will be supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities by donating their time to participate in the Chef of the House Challenge. Our chefs will be preparing meals for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House with products donated by our vendors.

Plan to be at The Landings for the USTA Super Senior League Tennis State Championship – October 23-25, 2010! Come and cheer on your favorite player while watching some outstanding tennis being played on The Landings great courts!

The Landings is hosting a July 17th Mexican Fiesta Team Tennis match for its members! All levels of players are invited to play and enjoy the fun and free beer. After play, members can enjoy a Mexican Fiesta dinner at the Franklin Creek “Cantina” while celebrating with or crying in their free beer. Did we mention free beer?

Cost to play is $6.50 per person. This includes FREE BEER!! However, this fee does not include dinner at the Cantina. Your dinner will be charged separately at the Cantina and will be approximately $10++. Who could turn down chips and salsa?? The National Men’s 40’s Clay Court Tournament is just around the corner! This year’s tournament will run from October 1 – October 7. This championship has been exceptional in attracting players from across the country. The players look forward to the venue provided by The Landings Club in great part due to the hospitality extended by Landings residents and club Members.

One hundred and fifty-six of the best amateur golfers in the state will be tested on The Landings Deer Creek course July 8th -11th during the 2010 Georgia Amateur Championship. On Monday July 12th our members will have the special opportunity of playing the course in the same conditions as the championship participants did in the final round.  Hole locations will not be changed and green speeds will be very fast!  Participants will be able to select the tees from which they want to play. After golf, a smoked BBQ dinner will be held at Deer Creek. We look forward to a great day of golf under true championship conditions and lots of fun at the club!

The July 4th event will begin at 6pm with a giant cookout catered by the Club, a DJ, and many amusements and activities for kids. Fireworks from the Oakridge golf course will commence at dark for everyone to enjoy.

The Landings on Skidaway Island, Savannah, GA has been selected to host the 2011 USGA Women’s State Team Championship on their Palmetto course, one of six golf courses here at The Landings. This championship matches three-woman teams from each of the fifty states, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The championship will take place in early October, 2011
