Don't Tell The Golfers, The Landings Is Really A Tennis Community.
Our passion for golf is only matched by our passion for tennis. With three tennis centers and 34 courts, two platform courts and a 500-seat stadium, tennis takes a back seat to no one.
The Franklin Creek Tennis Center includes a clubhouse with a comprehensive pro shop, a practice backboard, 20 Har-Tru courts (12 lighted for those ‘5-setters’), and 2 Hard Courts. A center court (with a 500-seat stadium recognized by Tennis Industry Magazine as its “1994 Stadium Court of the Year”) and Players' Lounge are added attractions at Franklin Creek, which has hosted the USTA Men's National 40s Championships for the last eighteen years and was named the state's USTA Facility of the Year by the Georgia Tennis Association. At The Marshwood Club, members have a choice of eight Har-Tru courts (two lighted) and two lighted platforms tennis courts. An additional four courts are available at the Oakridge Fitness Center.
With USPTA-certified professionals at each Club, private and group lessons are available. (And with tennis league competitions, social mixers, exhibitions and national tournaments held here, lessons are encouraged).
The Landings Club is proud to have one of Savannah's premier junior tennis programs. With a combination of individual instruction, group learning, and competitive play, our programs are suitable for players of all ages and interest levels. In this fun and hard working environment, our juniors learn everything from the rules of the game to basic fundamentals and competitive strategy.

TIP FROM THE PRO: Walter Campbell
"One of the biggest hurdles in becoming a great tennis player is one's ability to unlearn bad habits. If you are eager to improve, put some faith into the professional instructing you, be open minded, and get ready for change! Don't be set in your ways, allow yourself to be teachable, and your game will improve rapidly."
"The pot of gold is not at the end of the rainbow. It is at the net!"

TIPS FROM THE PRO: Zsofia Golopencza
"When you start your warm-up before the match you first need to get used to the conditions and your feel and form for that day. It's not realistic to expect that you'll be feeling superbly well every day. So check the conditions - windy, sunny, hot or something else and adapt your shots and tactics accordingly. Then, check your feel for the ball and racquet, your general mood and look to improve on them."
"One of the biggest factors that I know of that influences how well you play tennis is "confidence". People who have confidence in their tennis game or particular shot are very hard to beat. How do you get the confidence to win tennis matches? Proper repetition of a desired stroke will train the muscle memory for execution and get the mind to free itself of fear. The ideal way to practice the perfect shot is under pressure in match play. Relax! Breathe in and out with deep breaths between points. Loosen your muscles and stay almost limp. Sing your favorite song or hum a tune in your head. Whatever it takes to get the mind to relax. Positive self talk or even positive thoughts can relax your mind to do what it's been trained to do. Panic and fear are the two things that will cripple your confidence. When you're down 4-2 in the set, you might feel a fear of being unable to come back. If you put aside the fear and tell yourself you can comeback and you are not worried, then you can feel the enjoyment of having confidence."
